Hawaii Island Wishes When I was about 18 years old I missed out on the opportunity to go to Hawaii for a months vacation. Ever since then I've dreamed of vacationing in Hawaii. Yet, only recently did I realize all the things you can do on Hawaii and on the other islands. This is why I decided to write a short article on things you don't want to miss if you are traveling to Hawaii or any of the other islands. Tours of all sorts: Boat Tours, Helicopter Tours, Snorkling Tours, Fishing Tours, Swim with Dolphins, Swim with Sharks, Bike Tours, and both Hiking on Foot and with a Horse Tours. A lot of people think only of things to do on the islands themselves. And yes, of course these are wonderful but it would be sad to plan your vacation in Hawaii and then once you arrived, realized you missed out on doing something very special due to a lack of time. So, how do you get around that? Plan your vacation yes. However, why not plan to discover something when you arrive? You may find something very special that you only found out about once you arrived at the hotel or spoke to someone who lives where you are touring. Talk to the people who are not tourists and you'll be amazed at what you can learn. Ask someone who lives there if they can give you some tips of beaches less traveled, trails and caves and other things that might not be seen by tourists or on guided tours. Ah well, you never know until you ask. I can't wait to explore Hawaii myself. My brother promises to teach me how to scuba dive one day and the rest of the time we'll be swiming with dolphins and sharks. I have to admit the shark park scares me a bit, but I'll get over it!
